01
The Kunsthaus at your fingertips
Before visitors can be moved by art, they first need to find their way to it. This is not always easy, especially at the Kunsthaus Zürich: the new building designed by David Chipperfield Architects has made the Kunsthaus the largest art museum in Switzerland. This presents visitors with new challenges that can quickly distract them from their museum experience. The visitor guide, implemented as a progressive web app, provides visitors with a clear and inspiring overview of the premises and exhibitions – ensuring enriching encounters with art and satisfied visitors.

"Conceptually strong, pragmatic, always meeting deadlines and staying within budget – that's how we experience dreipol, and we look forward to realizing further digital projects together."
02
Intuitive navigation & personalized art experiences
The intuitively zoomable and rotatable map combines three-dimensional and two-dimensional representations for optimal user-friendliness: since visitors often orient themselves using architectural features such as staircases, we display these in three dimensions. Rooms, on the other hand, are shown as flat areas whose colors clearly distinguish different functions or art movements from one another. Thanks to flexible tags, visitors can also put together countless routes according to their individual preferences and, for example, display all works by female artists on the map. This allows visitors to find their way around at any time and create a memorable visit.

03
More efficiency in museum operations
The content managers at the Kunsthaus also benefit from an intuitive solution with the Visitorguide. Images and texts can be easily adapted in DatoCMS and dynamically loaded into the application. This guarantees the Kunsthaus complete independence in content maintenance and makes the daily work of those responsible for content easier. The separation of frontend and backend brings the Kunsthaus numerous additional advantages: the headless CMS now also supplies other online services of the Kunsthaus with content and ensures efficiency-enhancing synergies.
